ELVIS Book Event!

That’s right—it’s an honest-to-jiminy book launch for a Mind Harvest Press title by James D. McCallister!

It’s been a year since our poetry release, and six years since we held a party for one of our own books (and books there have been in those years). Now that we have an appropriate venue in the neighborhood, like, say, an indie bookstore and gathering space for literary-minded readers called All Good Books, it’s easier to pull these events together.

And so it’s time to celebrate the long-gestating The Night I Prayed to Elvis. The party’s scheduled for September 18, 2024, from 6 to 8pm. Our program of discussion, Q&A and book signing will be moderated by the above-mentioned Elizabeth Leverton, whose poetry collection Peace, Rhododendron made so many people happy last year.

Who knows, maybe I’ll be talked into reading something! I hate reading, though. We’ll have to see. Maybe poetry instead of the stories. We need to sell Ironically Unreal Once Forever too, which never had its little party, now, did it? Nope.

So anyway. Come out and get a signed book, or simply come and see me! It’ll be fun. It’ll be great. We need ya. Over and out.
