DIXIANA Preview: The First Chapter

It had to happen eventually. That’s right—the ebook publication of DIXIANA Book One: Dirt Surfer approaches silhouetted on the twilit horizon like a far-off rider, battle-weary but proud and erect and nearing ever closer to home. This literary hero’s journey—separation, initiation, and return—is at its conclusion.

The Return of KING’S HIGHWAY

New edition of KH gets a cover! With a new season approaching, it’s time for the reveal of the next Mind Harvest Press release. Say hello to a spit-shined new version of my 1970s-set coming-of-age novel King’s Highway!

Faulkner Society 2018 Finalist!

Hey, great news this morning—my manuscript Reconstruction of the Fables has been named a finalist in the Novel category of the 2018 Faulkner Society competition! This is my third novel to make it that far in this prestigious literary contest (after Dixiana and Fellow Traveler). Thanks to the judges and contest organizers.

DREAM WORK: New from Mind Harvest Press

Major announcement: Mind Harvest Press stretches its wings. While founded as the principal outlet for my own literary projects, fledging upstart indie imprint MHP is now stoked to present its first publication penned by another author!

Upcoming Author Events

While excitement over the Dixiana ebook cover reveal continues to ripple throughout the known universe, let’s not forget 2018’s entry in the Edgewater County mythos, Dogs of Parsons Hollow. To that end, I’ve got a few events scheduled:

All Roads Lead to DIXIANA

Greetings, faithful readers, I return from a period of blog silence with news: five years after I began writing it, the Dixiana saga is now almost publication-ready. My, how time flies when you’re in the throes of creative apotheosis.

Year of The DOGS

Well—that only took ten years or so, but Dogs of Parsons Hollow is (almost) here!

Upcoming Book Events

A whirlwind of upcoming book signing opportunities, along with awards news.

THE YEAR THEY CANCELED CHRISTMAS is Here!

Here’s another one of those moments in my writing career in which the scribe takes a moment to… exhale. And relax. Another published book, my second for 2017, has been loosed upon the world in both print and ebook editions.

Christmas Canceled in 2017?

Wait—what, you may ask? Nope. Not a chance. Christmas, and the rest of the holiday season, will surely unfold as it has for so long. And hey, with that in mind, you’re gonna need gifts… right?
